Swiss Karate League Zürich

Colin competed in the second of three Swiss Karate League qualification tournaments and collected valuable points towards qualifying for the Swiss Karate Championships. He had been forced to miss the opening event of the series due to a foot injury.

A new qualification system has been introduced this year. To be eligible for the Swiss Championships, athletes must compete in at least two of the three qualification tournaments and earn a minimum of six qualification points in both Kata and Kumite.

Colin finished fifth in Kata, collecting four important qualification points. In Kumite, despite returning from a lengthy injury break and facing several challenging matches, he fought his way through the repechage and secured the points needed to qualify for the Swiss Championships.

After six weeks without normal training, this tournament marked an important step back into competition.

A sincere thank you to his sensei, the entire dojo, all coaches, training partners, family and friends for their continued support. Special thanks also go to the organisers, referees and all volunteers whose dedication made this tournament possible.
