On 6 September 2026, 636 athletes from 76 karate clubs gathered in the Zurich Oberland for the third and final Swiss Championship qualifier.
In Kata, Colin narrowly missed advancing with a strong performance of Shio Kousoukun. In Kumite, he showed determination, winning his first two bouts convincingly, 5–2 and 5–0, before finishing fifth overall. Most importantly, Colin has qualified for the Swiss Championships in Kumite!
We congratulate all athletes on their achievements and thank Colin’s opponents for the challenging and respectful matches. Our heartfelt thanks go to Colin’s coaches, his Sensei, the referees and the organisers for their dedication, support and hard work in making the tournament possible.
