On 30 August, Colin competed in both Kata and Kumite at the International Basel Open Masters, alongside 534 athletes from 18 countries.
In Kata, he secured 7th place with strong performances. After a narrow defeat against the eventual gold medallist, he won a repechage match before being eliminated. Colin also finished 7th in Kumite, narrowly losing both his opening match and his repechage bout by 1–2.
Although he missed out on a medal, Colin gained valuable international competition experience. We congratulate all athletes on their performances and fighting spirit. A heartfelt thank-you goes to Colin’s coaches, his Sensei, the referees and the organisers for their dedication and for making this tournament possible!
