Swiss Championship 2025

On Sunday, Colin delivered one of the most impressive performances of his young career, winning the Swiss National Championship title in Kumite after a dramatic and emotional start to the day.

Ranked #1 in Kumite and #2 in Kata, Colin entered the tournament as one of the favourites. However, a knee injury during the week forced him to miss four training sessions and added uncertainty to his preparation. In the Kata category, only eight athletes had qualified — but an unexpected mental block led to a rare and heartbreaking drop-out.

With little time to recover emotionally, Colin shifted his focus to Kumite. Nine athletes had qualified, and Colin regained control quickly. He won his opening match 6–2 with dominant technique and continued his momentum in the semifinal with a solid 2–0 victory.

In the final, Colin faced an unfamiliar opponent known for advanced kicking techniques. Colin remained calm under pressure, scored early, and expertly countered his opponent’s attacks. With a decisive 7–1 win, he secured the Swiss National Champion title, finishing the day with an outstanding total score of 15 points scored and only 3 conceded.

Colin now looks forward to entering the U14 category in the upcoming season.
