This past weekend, Colin competed at the third and final Swiss Karate League tournament of the season — and it turned out to be a very special one. For the very first time, his own dojo hosted the event, welcoming nearly 900 competitors from 71 clubs across Switzerland.
In Kata, Colin put his skills to the test with a challenging selection of forms. While he didn’t reach the final, he showed great determination and secured a bronze medal match win.
The highlight of the day came in Kumite. After strong victories in the opening rounds, Colin faced the reigning Swiss Champion in the final. Using clever counterattacks and calm strategy, Colin took the gold with a clear 4–0 win. This marked not only another major victory but also a milestone: his 50th career medal in karate!
Colin remains at the top of the Swiss national ranking in Kumite and now looks forward with confidence to the Eurocup in Austria in October and the Swiss Championships in November.
A huge thank you goes to all his coaches for their dedication and guidance.
